Medical education minister S A Ramdas’ surprise visit to the premier Government Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital on Tuesday threw up a contrasting figure. While his earlier visits to hospitals attached to medical college reported large scale unauthorized absence of staff from duty, the 102-year-old ayurveda college and hospital had some 90 per cent doctors working on Tuesday.
