Acharya said cabinet also approved implementation of 6th Pay Commission recommendations for the teaching staff of six Ayush colleges. He said the new pay scales would be paid with effect from April 1, 2011, as per the AICTE guidelines. This would result in a burden of Rs 11 crore per year on the exchequer.
